Sydney Hall

Science Intern

Sydney Hall is PDE’s science intern.

Before joining PDE, Hall earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in environmental science at Wesley College in 2021. As a NASA graduate fellow, her thesis concentrated on the different responses of Eastern red cedar trees at high and low elevation during storm surge events and climatic variability. Prior to graduating, Hall spent her summers with the Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve in Dover, Delaware as a research intern. She worked on several projects including microplastic analysis, nekton biodiversity, and water quality monitoring within the St. Jones Reserve and Blackbird Creek. She hopes to bring in the needed drive and innovation as a new graduate.

Hall grew up in Smyrna, Delaware and has had a passion for the environment since a young age. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, camping, and boating with her friends and family. Hall can be contacted via email at shall@delawareestuary.org.
