Kendra Bober

Delaware Community Coordinator

Kendra Bober is PDE’s Delaware Community Coordinator. In this role, she works with the City of Wilmington, Delaware, to connect residents with greening events and opportunities in the city. Bober develops other outreach opportunities and assists with annual events within Wilmington and beyond. Prior to joining PDE, Bober worked in Community Service for the New Castle County Public Libraries, where she developed and assisted with library programs for all ages. She also worked as a Teacher Naturalist for Delaware Nature Society, teaching school programs connected to water and soils and engaging with visitors to the Christina Riverfront in Wilmington. Bober has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from George Mason University and an Master of Arts in Teaching in Science Education from The University of Texas at Dallas. While she has called many places home, she has made her family here, raising three boys in Talleyville for nearly 20 years. Whether hiking, climbing, bicycling, exploring the many state parks in Delaware with her family and dogs, or being a proud spectator to her boys’ sports teams, Bober is always happiest being active and outside. She also enjoys knitting, reading, and drawing when the day comes to a close.
