Kate Hutelmyer

Senior Engagement Manager


Kate Hutelmyer is PDE’s Senior Engagement Manager. In this role, Hutelmyer leads PDE’s involvement in various collaborative efforts to make water cleaner in communities throughout Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. This includes active involvement in the Delaware River Watershed Initiative, the Schuylkill Action Network (SAN), the Delaware Resilient and Sustainable Communities League (RASCL), and more. She focuses on partnership building, network facilitation, and planning efforts for PDE.

Previously, Hutelmyer worked for the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association in central New Jersey. She served as the Program Coordinator for its Watershed Institute, which provides technical and financial assistance to environmental nonprofits throughout the state.

Hutelmyer holds a Master’s Degree in Water Science and Policy and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, both from the University of Delaware.

Hutelmyer is a lifelong resident of the Estuary and currently resides in West Chester, Pennsylvania. In her free time she enjoys cooking, kayaking, and traveling.
