How Can You Get Involved with SAN?
If you’re passionate about protecting the Schuylkill River and its tributaries, there are plenty of opportunities to join SAN’s efforts! The network includes six issue-based workgroups that meet quarterly to focus on various aspects of watershed protection. SAN workgroup meetings and events are open to all.
In addition to these workgroups, SAN offers several network-wide programs:
The Schuylkill Scrub – this large-scale cleanup initiative runs from March 1 to May 31 across the watershed and includes the annual Schuylkill Scrub and Pub in March in Merion Township, Pennsylvania
Schuylkill River Restoration Fund Tour – Each fall, partners tour improvement projects that have taken place within the Schuylkill River Watershed supported by the SRRF. The tour is followed by a press event highlighting the next year’s funding recipients.
The SAN Annual Meeting – is where all the workgroups convene, and partners across the watershed connect, learn, and discuss the year’s accomplishments.
