The Wilmington Earth Day Celebration is an annual festival held outdoors in Rodney Square featuring dozens of "green" vendors from throughout the tri-state region. This year's festivities will take place on April 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. This event is a terrific opportunity for citygoers to gain valuable insight into everything from gardening to hybrid automobiles -- all while on their lunch break. The many vendors on hand will be offering a variety of products and conservation tips for the home, workplace, and roadway. Other attractions will include:
- free giveaways (supplies are limited)
- a craft for kids
- a children's program for those who register in advance
- a live radio broadcast by WJBR 99.5 FM, and much more

The Wilmington Earth Day Celebration will take place next to a major bus depot, giving visitors convenient access to Earth-friendly transportation. All this makes for a terrific celebration on the official date of Earth Day: April 22.
